Our first project is to rebuild the Furuna Elementary School in the Furuna Villiage in the Adaba District in the West Arsi Zone of the Oromia Regional State. Around 1000 students will benefit from the project. A project plan including 2 new school buildings and a sanitary facility has been approved by the community, the district, and the region. Construction started in February 2018.

The existing school buildings are badly in need of repair.
Opportunity Kid’s partner organization, Beromsa Ejolef, is donating the building supplies and the local community is providing labor and some materials. Plans have been made for two new buildings and a sanitary facility. After a long process, the plans have been approved by the District government.
